OVO

Sources

Five ways in. One library.

A collection rarely lives in one place any more. OVO treats each source as part of the same library instead of a separate app you have to remember to open.

The Sources screen in OVO on iPhone listing connected streams and synced folders, each marked Ready or Up to date.

Choose a source

What each source is good for.

Choose a source to see how it fits into one OVO library.

Local files

Files and iCloud Drive.

Choose files or a whole folder from On My iPhone or iCloud Drive. Imported music becomes part of the on-device library, with its albums, artists and artwork intact.

Once imported, these tracks play with no connection at all.

Streams

Direct stream URLs.

Paste a direct audio link, an MP4 with an audio track or a live HLS stream, give it a name, and check it before it joins your sources.

Live audio always needs a connection, so streams are kept clearly separate from files.

Synced folders

Folders that stay current.

Connect a folder from Files, iCloud Drive or your own WebDAV server. Name it, decide whether it updates on Wi-Fi only, and let its contents stay available as the folder changes.

Useful when you already organise music somewhere and do not want to duplicate it.

Apple Music

Your Apple Music library, in place.

Connect Apple Music and your library sits beside your own files. Songs stay in Apple Music; OVO keeps references and plays them with your subscription.

Apple Music playback follows Apple's own availability rules.

The Connect Apple Music sheet in OVO on iPhone, explaining that songs stay in Apple Music while OVO keeps references and plays them with your subscription.

Cloud storage works a little differently. Read how iCloud Drive, synced folders and WebDAV fit together.
